Cancer Patient Support Services

The Cancer Care Center at Island Hospital has a multitude of resources to help our patients, who receive a detailed list with contact information. Included are services available in communities throughout the Puget Sound region. Topic areas include:

Cancer Resource Center

In partnership with the American Cancer Society (ACS), Island Hospital's Cancer Resource Center (CRC) provides resource materials, social services and direct online access to benefit cancer patients and survivors, their families and support systems.

The Cancer Resource Center is open Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Additionally, Social Services Representative Elaine Lachlan is available from 10 a.m. to noon Mondays and Wednesdays to help visitors learn about classes, transportation, housing, social and mental health needs. No appointment is needed.
